Motorbike Racing : Bike stars line up for Armoy event

A GLITTERING array of stars from the biking world are set to appear at Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club's motorbike display and chat show next week.
The two day event takes place on Friday 11 December from 5.30pm until 10pm and Saturday 12 December from 10am until 5.30pm at St Olcan’s Village Hall, Armoy.

unlop and Joey Dunlop will feature including the famous 125cc Honda Joey first rode at the Isle of Man TT in 1991.

Other bikes belonging to legends such as Brian Reid, Ray McCullough, Len Ireland, Dick Creith, Ryan Farquhar, John Burrows, Adrian Archibald and many more will also be on hand for fans to have a close up look.

Another bike which is sure to get a lot of attention is Robert Dunlop’s Cowells Yamaha 250 on which he won North West 200 and Isle of Man TT races as well as his 125cc Honda on which he won numerous trophies including the British Championship.

A number of high profile special guests are set to appear over the two days including Ryan Farquhar, Adrian Archibald, John Burrows, William and Michael Dunlop, Brian Reid, Ray McCullough, Dick Creith, Len Ireland and Jim and Sam Dunlop.

Host and compeer Jeff McMullen will be chatting to riders past and present about their exploits on the track while well-known photographer and writer Stephen Davidson will be showing clips of Robert Dunlop, Martin Finnegan and other riders while also talking about his new book and calendar.

On Saturday at noon there will be a rally of vintage cars and bikes from the Ballymoney Old Vehicle Club and of course it wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa who will be arriving on his motorbike about 2pm.

There will be stalls selling merchandise, etc, and a chance to see some unique items of memorabilia.

The organisers wish to thank the VJMC and everyone for their help, support and use of their bikes.
